Tapping Into The Creative Force Within You

Tapping Into The Creative Force Within You

Do you enjoy being creative and want to take that creativity to a whole other level? Do you ever feel underutilized at work and find that your creative abilities go untapped? If so, do not fret, all you need to do is learn how you can tap into your creativity whenever you need to and that is exactly what this article is going to discuss. When you allow your creative abilities to flow naturally, you will find that you simply get more done is less time. So let’s get started…

Creative Thinking Begets More Creativity

Being creative will allow you to become who you truly want to be in life. If you do not utilize your creativity in your life then your personal growth will be limited. You may also not be able to think as clearly as you should be able to. A lot of people don’t truly understand how important their creative side is until they learn to actually tap into it through creative thinking.

So how can we get started with creative thinking then? Well you can start with a few really simple exercises. Try breaking out some magazines, glue, paper and scissors, just like when you were a kid. Then start cutting out random images and gluing them to the paper. Don’t think about, just let your creative juices flow. Then, when you are all finished with your creation, take a step back to see what your mind has constructed. You may be pleasantly surprised with yourself.  This is one exercise that is easy to do and sure to get your creativity going.

Try Listening To Something New

Listening to some music can be another easy way to get your creativity flowing. But you have to be sure to shake things up once in a while by listening to something new. You can try to listen to a new radio station, borrow a CD from a friend or just go download some MP3?s that you are completely unfamiliar with. When you listen to something that you have never heard before, it can spark new ideas in your imagination. You may also find yourself changing your definitions of creativity as you listen to new songs.

Unleash Creativity Through Dance

One of the keys to unlocking the door to your creativity is an active body, so get dancing! Try putting on your favorite CD or going out to a local club for a night on your feet. You can sign up for some dance lessons, or simply have fun rocking out around your very own home. You will be quite amazed at how creative you feel when you are active. Afterwards you will feel inspired and ready to take on new challenges. You may even find that that workload you have been putting off isn’t that daunting after all.

Release The Words Of Your Heart

Another great option for increasing your creativity is by doing some automatic writing. Go ahead and grab yourself an egg timer and set it for 15 minutes. Then from the minute you press start, just begin to write freely from your heart. Just let the words gently flow from your heart to your hand and on to the page for 15 minutes. You can write about whatever comes to your mind. Let your intuition guide you. Don’t plan, simply write. Then when the timer ends, step back and review your work. You will be able to marvel at the way the creativity just seemed to pour out of you once you simple began writing.

If you have been struggling to tap into your creativity, then put the above exercises and tips into play and within no time at all you will become witness to the true power of your creative nature.

One last thing on creativity before we go, if you have the belief that no matter what you do you will never be creative then you need to change this limiting belief right away. One of the most powerful ways of doing this is through the use of positive affirmations. These positive declarations can help you overcome past conditioning and realign with the creative force that lies dormant inside of you. Create a list of affirmations for yourself, an example of some great ones would be, “I feel an intense flame of passion for the things that interest me.” or “I am a creative force of nature.” These affirmations will help you tap into your creative side as you deal with the everyday stress of life.
